FARMVILLE, Va.- The Longwood Lancers (3-8, 1-3 MAC) travel to Amherst, Massachusetts, to face the No. 16-ranked UMass Minutewomen (10-2, 3-1 MAC).
The Lancers are coming off a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over Kent State on Sunday.
MATCHUP HISTORY:
- This is the first time the Lancers and Minutewomen will match up
- UMass joined the Mid-American Conference this year from the A10
LAST TIME OUT
- Longwood beat Kent State 3-2 in overtime on Sunday, October 5
- Channy Johnson scored two goals, including the game winner early in overtime
- Zoe Tierney also scored for the Lancers
- Sophie Mooldijk made 15 saves in goal to help the Lancers earn the road win
- Johnson scored Longwood's first goal of the match in the third quarter to tie it at one apiece, and Tierney knotted the score at 2-2 with three minutes to play in the fourth quarter

- Myrte van Herwijnen, the three-time MAC goalkeeper of the week, has made 48 saves, allowing only 10 goals against. She currently leads the MAC in save percentage (.828) and is ranked fourth in the nation for goals against and save percentage

- Channy Johnson leads Longwood in goals this season, notching six goals and one assist so far. Last match, she scored two goals, including the game winning overtime goal.
